The Hotel Association of North Texas is pleased to provide you with this scholarship application that provides certifications, licensure and training for current HANTX Member hotel employees ONLY with tuition reimbursement and industry recognition.

Hotel Association of North Texas awards scholarships in the following categories that provide certifications including but NOT limited to:

Microsoft Office, Heating & Air Conditioning, Pool, HR Certification, CHA, CHSP, CMP, etc.

Three (3) scholarships up to $1500 per scholarship will be awarded.

Selection Process

In order for an applicant to be eligible, they must:

• Be an employee of a HANTX Member Hotel in good standing. If you have a question on membership status, please contact the office at 214-484-7060.
• Complete the Online Application
• Provide one letter of recommendation
• Provide details on the course(s) pre-training or post-training
  • Pre-Training:
    • Provide details on the course to be taken, course content, registration costs, proof of registration
    • Provide a brief essay statement (500 words or less or PowerPoint presentation of not more than 25 slides) on how this course will help you in your current position or further your career in the hospitality industry.
  • Post-Training (Course must have been completed within 12 months of September 1, 2026):
    • Registration of the course, certificate of completion and or transcripts as well as proof of payment. 
    • Provide a brief essay statement (500 words or less or PowerPoint presentation of not more than 25 slides) on how this course will help you in your current position or further your career in the hospitality industry.

Scholarship Notes:

• The scholarship awards are to be used by the recipients for education and/or related expenses.  All scholarships awarded by the Hotel Association of North Texas are considered to be grants, not loans.
• Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
• A panel will review and rate the applications and scholarship awards will be based solely on these ratings. 
• Applicants will be notified of their status via e-mail. 
• Scholarship awardees will be invited to accept their award at the Hotel Association of North Texas’ Annual HOSPY Awards and Gala at the Omni Dallas on Friday, November 6, 2026.  

Applications must be received via the online application process no later than Monday, October 19, 2026, to be considered.
