2nd Annual HOT(el) Chef Throwdown

Calling All HANTX Chefs For A Special Culinary Event! 

We are excited to announce we are back with the 2nd Annual HOT(el) Chef Throwdown on July 18, 2022!

In partnership with the World Food Championships and Dallas College, were going to give 20 of our best chefs a chance to show off their talents and help us raise money for future members of the hospitality industry. The best part? These chefs will be duking it out to earn one of five spots – a “golden ticket” – to compete in this year’s World Food Championship. 

The competition is for Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, Pastry Chefs, or up-and-coming Chefs on your hotel team. The Chef’s will be challenged to create their best dish in a timed, live cooking competition hosted at the Dallas College Culinary, Pastry and Hospitality Center. 

This year, there are 5 categories – Dessert, Rice & Noodle, Sandwich, Seafood, and Vegetarian from which to choose. Only one Golden Ticket per category is available. The five highestscoring Chefs will win a golden ticket into the World Food Championships' category of his/her choice. In addition to free entry into the Ultimate Food Fight in November, the top three highest-scoring Chefs will win a cash prize! We are commemorating this year’s event with a special HOT(el) Chef Throwdown Calendar featuring the top 12 winning chefs.
